Bread prices drop in Azerbaijan

Wholesale prices for flour have significantly reduced in Azerbaijan after the order by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, according to which the import and sale of wheat, as well as production and sale of flour and bread are not subject to value added tax from January 15th, the Ministry of economy and industry reports.

Now one sack of flour (50 kg) can be bought wholesale for 21.5 to 22.5 manats, retail – within 23 to 24 manats. Therefore the price of bread with a weight of 500 grams will cost 0.30 manats, and 700 grams – 0.40 manats, Trend reports.
