Today, Brent oil exceeded the psychological barrier of $52 per barrel for the first time since October 12, 2015.
As of 13:01, prices for August futures for Brent oil rose by 1.13% to $52.02 per barrel, the July futures price for WTI crude oil increased by 0.95% to $50.84, Gazeta.ru reports.
The ruble exchange rate strengthened against the background of increase in oil prices: the dollar exchange rate fell by 0.3% to 64.4 rubles, the euro fell by 0.2% to 73.2 rubles.
