Brent rises above $49 for first time since November

The price of July futures of Brent crude oil rose 2.5% to $49.05 per barrel on London's ICE Futures exchange, overcoming the threshold of $49 a barrel for the first time since November 4th, 2015.

The dollar exchange rate increased by 0.7% and was worth 65.01 rubles,  the euro rose by 0.6% and was worth 73.6 rubles, TASS reports.

Oil prices reached new highs at the background of Goldman Sachs statements that the deficit in the market is expected in the second half of 2016.
