Britain establishes trade relations with Iran, media report

In early October, the United Kingdom plans to send a trade delegation to Iran, which will discuss ways to enhance trade relations between the two countries.

It is expected that the British trade delegation will arrive in Tehran on October 2, Press TV channel reports with reference to Iranian Deputy Minister of Fuel in international and commercial relations Amir Hossein Zamaniniya, RIA Novosti reported.

Zamaniniya announced this after a meeting with Charge d'Affaires of Great Britain in Tehran, Ajay Sharma, adding that any foreign company that is going to work with Iran should have a significant collaboration with Iranian private sector enterprises.

The exact composition of the delegation has not been announced yet. It is only known that it will include 15 top managers and experts from companies involved in energetics, law, engineering and other fields of activity. The delegation, which will be accompanied by the former British Ambassador to Iran Richard Dalton, is planned by CEO of the British-Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Martin Johnston.
