Mike Adamson the Chief Executive of the British Red Cross who is visiting Iran met with Nasser Charkhsaz, the Head of Relief and Rescue Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), Mehr informs.
“Relief and Rescue Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society has 500 inter-cities rescue bases and 400 intra-cities bases with a total crew of 55,000 trained volunteer rescuers across the country,” boasted Dr. Nasser Charkhsaz, the Head of Red Crescent Relief and Rescue Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) during his meeting on Thursday with Mike Adamson the Chief Executive of the British Red Cross.
To recount the capacities and infrastructures of Relief and Rescue Organization of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), Dr. Charkhsaz highlighted that 25 helicopters, 90 dogs, 500 rescue depots, and a big network of communication are used by the Relief and Rescue Organization across the four corners of Iran.
During the meeting, Mike Adamson, for his part, asserted that visits and meetings can pave the ground for expansion of cooperation between rescue organizations of the two countries and recounted that the British Red Cross is active in areas of health, sanitation and hygiene, first aid activities, emergency operations, and service to the immigrants.
“The British Red Cross is cooperating with rescue societies of 30 countries,” said the Chief Executive of the British Red Cross, “and mostly the areas of cooperation are in tolerance and responsiveness.”
He voiced his willingness for expansion of ties for exchange of experience and expertise in areas of logistics, vaccination, and financial affairs.
