COVID-19 cases declining in Russia

Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 9,526 over the past day to 22,442,887, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Tuesday.

In absolute terms, the number of daily COVID cases has been the lowest since February 7, when 7,615 daily cases were registered. A day earlier, 10,268 daily cases were recorded.

As many as 1,840 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, up 197.3% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients increased in 73 regions, while in six regions the figure decreased. The situation remained unchanged in six other regions. A day earlier, 619 people were rushed to hospitals.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 1,411 over the past day versus 1,699 cases a day earlier, reaching 3,447,914, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,137 over the past day versus 1,168 a day earlier, reaching 1,896,076.

Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 12,406 over the past day, reaching 21,792,012. A day earlier some 9,476 patients recovered.

Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 44 over the past day, reaching 396,664. A day earlier 34 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
