CSTO exercises are not a response to NATO maneuvers

The exercises of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO 'Interaction - 2015', which are being held near Pskov, are not a response to the maneuvers of NATO in Europe, CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov told reporters today.

"I would not like our exercises to be regarded as a countermeasure to what NATO is conducting in the western states. Our exercises are planned, they were approved last year by the Ministers of Defense and Secretaries of the Security Council," TASS quoted Semerikov as saying.
