Today, Prime Minister David Cameron, speaking in parliament, claimed there was a gradual rapprochement of the positions of Russia and the West and Saudi Arabia on the issue of a settlement of the conflict in Syria.
"I met with Russian President Vladimir Putin (at the G20 summit in Turkey), we discussed Syria ... Of course, between us, France, the United States and Saudi Arabia, on the one hand, and Russia, on the other hand, there are significant differences, but the gap in positions is decreasing," RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
