The head of the Canadian Foreign Ministry explained for what purpose the country is opening an embassy in Yerevan. According to her, this will strengthen ties between countries and help Armenia carry out democratic transformations.
On October 25, the opening ceremony of the Canadian Embassy will take place in Yerevan. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, Mélanie Joly, will participate in the ceremony.
According to her, Canada is opening a diplomatic mission in Armenia to strengthen ties and help the republic implement democratic reforms.
“We promised this to the people of Armenia last year, and we will keep this promise. Canadian diplomats will travel to Yerevan as part of further strengthening and deepening our relations and supporting Armenia’s efforts to carry out democratic reforms,”
– the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada said.
