The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) ceased airstrike operations against Daesh militants in Iraq and Syria on 15 February 2016 in accordance with the decision of the Government of Canada, the website of the Canadian Armed Forces said.
In total, CF-188 Hornets conducted 251 airstrikes in Iraq and Syria starting from October 30th 2014.
Six bombers, along with associated aircrew and support personnel, will depart from the region. Other types of aircraft will continue to conduct air-to-air refueling and surveillance, Interfax reports.
