One of the main problems that the employees of the Dagestani ambulance service face in their work is the worn-out state and lack of staff of the car fleet,’’ the head physician of the Republican Center for Disaster Medicine Kazanfar Kurbanov said.
"Problems with the material and technical base are real not only for Dagestan, but also for many regions of Russia. The main problem is a shortage of vehicles and outdated machines. About 70% of them are worn-out today. These cars often break down. The demand for ambulances in Makhachkala is about 40 vehicles, and no less than 300 vehicles in the republic,’’ RIA Dagestan cites him.
