From March 7th to 18th, the Turkmen city of Avaza will hold a seminar 'Caspian Sea — Sustainable Development and Management'. Its goal is the further development of cooperation of the Caspian basin countries, cooperation in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development in the region.
The event will be held with the participation of representatives of relevant institutions of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Russia, in collaboration with the International Oceans Institute (IOI) and the State Enterprise for Caspian Sea Issues under the president of Turkmenistan.
As the report of the Turkmen government published today says, earlier, at the initiative of official Ashgabat, important international documents were developed, among them the Agreement on the conservation and sustainable use of aquatic biological resources of Caspian Sea and the Agreement on cooperation in the sphere of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations on the Caspian Sea, Trend reports.
