Caspian countries will have collective security system

According to the representative of the press and information service of the Russian Ministry of Defense Management, Navy Captain of the First Rank Igor Dygalo, today the acting head of the Russian Navy, Admiral Vladimir Korolev, held a working meeting with representatives of the navies of the Caspian states on the establishment of a collective security system in the Caspian Sea.

During the meeting the sides discussed the establishment of a committee commander of the naval forces of the Caspian states, which is to serve as a platform for further discussion on the organization of joint exercises, navigation and hydrographic support, as well as ensuring maritime safety on the Caspian Sea to counter illegal migration, the transportation of weapons, drugs and poaching, Tass reports.
