Cavusoglu: Turks tired of EU promises

There is a significant decline in the number of supporters of Turkey's accession to the EU, the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

"Turkish people's support for the idea of joining the EU has seriously dropped. We are against Europe's double standards towards us. We have our security tasks that we will carry out. There were six demands from the EU - we fulfilled all of them. But the EU suddenly started talking quite different things," RIA Novosti cited Cavusoglu as saying.

As the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry noted, Turkey is ready to work on accession to the EU, but the EU should take a step towards the country.
