Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu spoke with his US counterpart Rex Tillerson by phone about Washington’s decision to lift restrictions on visa services for Turkish nationals, a Turkish diplomatic official said.
No detail was disclosed on the content of the phone call between the ministers, Hurriyet Daily reported.
The US State Department yesterday released a statement that said visa services in its mission in Turkey had been fully restored. The US claimed the decision came after Turkey reassured officials that local employees would not be subjected to additional scrutiny.
