Ceasefire between Iran and Israel has begun following several waves of Iranian attacks on Israel, Iran's Press TV reported Tuesday.
According to the Israeli Kan TV, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed his security cabinet on a truce with Iran.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced Monday evening that Israel and Iran have reached a formal agreement to implement a complete and total ceasefire. According to him, the ceasefire will initially last 12 hours, during which the opposing sides will maintain a posture of "peace and respect."
The U.S. leader noted that Iran will begin the ceasefire for 12 hours, and then Israel will begin. After 24 hours, an official end to the conflict will be announced.
