The Humanitarium Moscow Center has opened in the regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Russia, Belarus and Moldova. Its aim is to become a platform for a discussion of international humanitarian law and urgent problems of our time in the humanitarian sphere.
The Moscow Humanitarium center will be the second center of the ICRC in the world. The first center was opened in 2013 at the organization's headquarters in Geneva.
The head of the ICRC regional delegation in Moscow, Pascal Kütt, expressed hope that the center will be an open space for honest, caring, and perhaps difficult discussions on the problems faced by humanitarian workers around the world.
"Russia can share knowledge and experience,'' Vincent Bernard cites the head of the department of law and policy of the ICRC in Geneva, RIA Novosti reports.
