Central Bank of Azerbaijan sells $18 million

Azerbaijani banks bought $18.37 million from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) at a special auction on February 5.

"The Central Bank put $200 million up for sale, but the total demand of banks for foreign currency amounted to only $18.37 million and it was fully met," Trend cited the official announcement as saying.

CBA holds auctions three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
