Charlie Hebdo refuses to publish Prophet Muhammad cartoons

The French satirical magazine ‘Charlie Hebdo’ is no longer going to publish cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed. This was stated by the chief editor, Laurent Sourisseau.

"We drew Muhammad in order to protect the principle that everyone can draw what they want,’’ Gazeta.ru quotes the editor as saying.

Sourisseau noted that ‘Charlie Hebdo’ does not aim to criticize Islam. The elements that tend to cause dissatisfaction among the critics of Islam can be found in other religions as well, he added.
