Seven militants were killed in a security operation in Russia's southern region of Chechnya, a source in local police said, adding that dozens of militants were detained.
Earlier, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said that four militants were annihilated during a special operation on Wednesday evening. He added that one of the local security personnel was killed. A special operation was carried out near the Kurchaloy and the Shalinsky districts.
