According to the press service of the regional administration, Chechen farmers have begun a mass harvest of rye, wheat and barley.
A good harvest was grown in the Shelkovsk, Nadterechniy, Gudermes, Grozny and Naur districts, said the director of the department of plant, chemicals and plant protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chechen Republic, Khan-Pasha Matyev.
According to him, by the 2nd of July 18 thousand hectares of grains crops was gathered. The gross harvest will amount to over 37 thousand tons of grain. The crop capacity is more than 20 metric centners a hectare. Last year this figure was only 11 metric centners, UGA reports.
