Chechnya exceeds plan for grain

The Ministry of Agriculture announced today that the Chechen Republic has exceeded the plan for collection of grain by 45.5%. The plan for winter planting, in turn, has been 111.2% completed.

216,870 hectares were planted in total in Chechnya this year, of which 115,578 hectares were crops: winter crops – 80,185 hectares, spring crops – 35,393 hectares. Industrial crops (24,199 ha), potatoes, vegetables and melons (11,303 ha), and fodder crops (65,790 hectares) were also sown in the Republic.
