President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping addressed today President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev in connection with the events in his country, Xinhua reports.
The Chinese leader expressed his sincere condolences over the significant casualties and serious property damage resulting from the unrest. "At a key moment, you resolutely took effective measures, quickly restoring calm. This reflects your duty and responsibility as a politician and great responsibility to the state and people," the Chinese leader addressed his Kazakh counterpart.
