Christine Lagarde: Azerbaijan is pursuing proper policy

The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, said that Azerbaijan is pursuing the proper policy, which will help it to overcome external challenges.

"Azerbaijan has certainly taken a good fiscal approach, the country is reassessing its spending and really trying to restore its position, and it is also using the exchange rate as a buffer," she told PUNCH, noting that the decline in oil prices severely affected the country's economy.
