The climber who arrived at Mount Elbrus as part of a Crimean group and died during the descent from the mountain was a citizen of Belarus, the head of the press service of the EMERCOM of Russia in Kabardino-Balkaria, Cantemir Berov, reported.
"The dead climber was identified as a citizen of Belarus, from Minsk, born in 1982. He was registered by the rescue team as being part of a group from Crimea," Interfax quotes him as saying.
