Closest ally of PKK leader eliminated by Turkey

Turkey conducted an operation to eliminate Riza Altun, a senior figure close to the PKK terror group's acting leader Cemil Bayık.

After Altun’s location was established, the Turkish Air Force delivered a precision strike on a house where the terrorist was hiding.

The operation was jointly carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces and the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) in northern Iraq's Qandil mountains, Anadolu Agency reported.
