Coronavirus in Russia reaches its lowest level in two years

According to TASS calculations based on data from the federal operational headquarters, 30.5 thousand coronavirus cases were registered over the past week in Russia, it is the minimum since the end of April 2020.

From May 23 to May 29, 30,586 COVID cases were officially registered in Russia. It's 7.75% less than during the previous week. Also, this figure was the lowest in two years of the pandemic.

In addition to this, the death rate from coronavirus continues to decrease in Russia, 605 patients died in seven days. It's 11% less than a week earlier. It is noted that this is also a minimum of two years. The fatality rate remains at 2.07%.

The number of people recovering from the virus is decreasing. During the period from May 23 to May 29, 40,948 people were cured. During the previous week the number of people recovered was 41,724 .

12,883 people were hospitalized during the week. It's 4.7% less than in the past seven days.
