Coronavirus infection rates decline by 30% in Russia

The number of coronavirus cases in Russia has risen by 4,268 over the past day, reaching 47,121 in all regions, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Monday.  On Saturday, Russia confirmed 6,060 new coronavirus infections, therefore the coronavirus infection rate has declined by 30% in the country.

Some 3,446 people have recovered and 405 others have died.

"Russia has registered a rise in coronavirus cases to 47,121 (+10%) in 85 regions. Over the past day, 155 people have been discharged after recovering and 3,446 over the entire period. Forty-four patients have died of coronavirus over the past day. The total death toll in Russia is 405," the crisis center reported. A total of 1,935 (45.3%) new coronavirus cases are asymptomatic.

Moscow has confirmed new 2,026 coronavirus cases, bringing the total number in the capital to 26,350. Other cases were recorded in 75 more regions, including in the Moscow Region (578), the Nizhny Novgorod Region (113), St. Petersburg (86), the Rostov Region (60), the Murmansk Region (46), the Chechen Republic (45) and the Republic of Bashkortostan (45).

Over the past day, 155 people have been discharged in 21 regions, including 75 in Moscow, 14 in the Moscow Region, 12 in the Lipetsk Region and 11 others in the Komi Republic.

Moscow has recorded 28 new fatalities, the Republic of Bashkortostan - 4, the Krasnodar Region - 3, the Krasnoyarsk Region - 2 and the Kaluga Region (2). One person died in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, in the Chuvash Republic, the Ivanovo Region, the Arkhangelsk Region and the Khabarovsk Region.
