The Prosecutor General's Office and Finance Ministry's Investigative Service discovered illegal food production during capital raids, uncovering fake-label sweets and coffee.
Authorities confiscated over 10,000 candy boxes and 2,000 individual sweets from two defendants, including counterfeit Raffaello, Jacobs Monarch, Carte Noire, and Kinder Chocolate products.
Law enforcement also found expired products, packaging materials, and other items.
The investigation is reportedly ongoing. Those detained face three to five years in prison.
