Crimea doesn’t want to be taught in Ukrainian

"During the formation of the first classes for the new school year, we haven’t received applications for teaching in the Ukrainian language in the schools of the Crimea," the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic, Natalia Goncharova, said today.

"We have retained 17 grades taught in the Ukrainian language, including the Academic Gymnasium in Simferopol,’’ she noted. ‘’When we were forming the first grades we had no applications with a request to teach in the Ukrainian language,’’ Kryminform reports.
