Crimea provides half of its own electricity

Crimea began to independently generate half of the electricity it requires, the Deputy Energy Minister of Russia Andrey Chemezov stated.

"Yesterday we generated 460 MW, it was the maximum load, excluding diesel generator sets. By yesterday evening 'Krymenergo' had connected 158 MW diesel generator sets in the places that were determined by headquarters. That is, right now, considering diesel generator sets, more than 600 MW is being generated. The deficit is about 400 MW," he said.

It is known that electric power is being supplied to all districts, where it is already partitioned and sent to the population on schedule, TASS reports.
