Crimea remains part of Ukraine in Kazakh textbooks

Changes will be made to the textbooks of the Kazakh publishing house 'Mektep', in which Crimea is indicated as a territory of the Russian Federation. The peninsula "will be assigned" to Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan demanded.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry issued a note of protest to Kazakhstan regarding the designation of Crimea as a subject of the Russian Federation in the textbooks.

The document noted, in particular, that "the spread of such information contradicts the position of both the international community and the leadership of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has repeatedly stated its support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine."

This request was granted. Republished textbooks in which Crimea is a part of Ukraine will soon arrive in schools and shops.
