The Crimean authorities, by refusing to impose restrictions on the supply of agricultural products from Ukraine, have given Ukrainian farmers a chance to survive, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Vitaly Polishchuk stated.
He noted that these imports are still ongoing, although in the last month there has been some decline. However, this does not mean that Crimea is dependent on supplies from Ukraine. "We have active production of our own and deliveries from the regions of Russia. Crimea does not impose restrictions on supplies from Ukraine, we give them the opportunity to supply. Today, we offer the opportunity for farmers and businesses to somehow remain afloat, somehow maintain momentum," RIA Novosti quoted Minister as saying.
