Crimean tourist flow increases by 20%

During the current year Crimea received almost 3 million tourists, which is much more than last year, Vice-Premier of the Crimean government Ruslan Balbec said.

"From the beginning of the year 2 million 800 thousand tourists visited Crimea, including Yalta – 38%, Alushta – 14% Evpatoria – 13%, Theodosia – 9%, Saka – 6%. From the total number of vacationers, 2 million 500 thousand citizens of Russia, it is about 90%. The remaining 10% are foreigners, mainly citizens of Ukraine," RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

Balbec pointed out that in line with the tourist flow dynamic, this holiday season is ahead of the previous one by nearly 20%. Every week about 300 thousand people travel to Crimean resorts. The workload of operating resorts reaches 69% of their average capacity.
