A criminal case has been opened against the former deputy head of the city-resort of Sochi, Alexander Karandin, who is suspected of abuse of his post, the press service of the Investigation Department of the TFR for the Krasnodar Territory reports.
Being the vice-mayor of the city in 2008, he gave a developer official permission for the construction of an elite residential apartment building.
