In the village of Sergey-Pole in Sochi's Lazarev district a police officer was injured while arresting a criminal, the operational services of the region reported.
The attacker shot at the officer during an identity check. "As a result, the police officer was wounded in the forearm and the right hand,’’ Interfax quotes the source.
The offender then also tried to shoot at a second police officer, but did not do so for unknown reasons. "Trying to detain the offender, the police officers shot several times from their service weapons, but he managed to flee the scene," the source reports.
