From the beginning of May until the end of September, Russians will have the opportunity to go on a week-long train journey from Moscow to the North Caucasian Federal District. Russian Railways re-launches the train "Pearl of the Caucasus".
The season's first tourist train to the Caucasus, with stops in Adygea, North Ossetia, Chechnya, Dagestan and Kabardino-Balkaria, starts from Moscow on May 2. Then, until the end of September, the train will run on average twice a month, the schedule can be found on the carrier's website.
At night, a comfortable cruise train will carry tourists between cities and republics, travelers will spend daytime hours in interesting locations in the North Caucasus.
What is the cruise train route?
This year, the route of the train in the Caucasus is the following: Maykop - Vladikavkaz - Grozny - Derbent - Nalchik. The "Pearl of the Caucasus", thus, becomes a "hotel on wheels" and allows one to visit five republics of the North Caucasian Federal District in seven days.
It should be noted that the railway cruise to the Caucasus was first launched in 2021. In 2023, the route has changed slightly so that tourists can also visit North Ossetia. In addition to this, the period of stay in Dagestan, which has become a tourist hit in the North Caucasus in recent years, has been increased.
How much does a ride cost?
This year, the train includes compartment cars and luxury class cars, all cars are modern and well-equipped, including showers. The cost of the cruise includes travel, bed linen and breakfast. The price of a ticket in a compartment of a cruise train starts from 31,3 thousand rubles.
Excursions of "Pearl of the Caucasus"
