The leader of the self-proclaimed People's Republic of Donetsk, Alexander Zakharchenko, has signed a decree according to which local elections in this part of the Donbass are to be held on March 20th.
"To carry over the day of the first elections of local heads from October 18th 2015 to March 20th 2016", Tass cites the text of the document.
"Today the head signed a corresponding decree," the envoy of the DPR to the contact group Denis Pushilin said.
In this regard, he expressed hope that this decision will allow "the next step towards a dialogue with Ukraine to be made."
