The heatwave in the Russian south is causing daily fires. Today, non-residential dachas were burning in Stavropol; 9 buildings burned out entirely before firefighters brought the fire under control.
Today, a severe heatwave combined with strong winds led to a fire in the gardening non-profit partnership "Veterok" in Stavropol: 10 dachas caught fire at once, of which only one was saved.
According to Stavropol rescuers, none of the summer residents or firefighters were injured as a result of the fire. 30 firefighters and 9 vehicles were dispatched to extinguish the fire, the operational headquarters was established directly at ”Veterok”.
