The team of Dagestan has won first place in the team event at the sixth Festival of Culture and Sports of the Peoples of the Caucasus, which was held today in Makhachkala.
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister for the North Caucasus Lev Kuznetsov, the deputy head of Ministry of Sports Yuriy Nagornykh, deputy envoy to North Caucasus Federal District Nikolay Lisinski, the head of Ingushetia Yunus-bek Yevkurov, as well as the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdullatipov.
Representatives of Dagestan won second place during the last three Caucasian games. Now they became first almost in all sports disciplines: climbing on a rope, tug-of-war, walking on stilts, armwrestling, power triathlon, weightlifting, archery, relay race, mini-football and others.
