Today Dagestan celebrates Constitution Day. The Constitution of the Republic was adopted by the Constitutional Assembly on July 10th 2003.
"The adoption of the Constitution was the most important event in the life of the people of Dagestan, securing their historic choice to live in peace and harmony with the multinational people of Russia. The Constitution of the Republic of Dagestan is the basis of the successful development of the republic and is aimed at preserving the unity of the multiethnic people of Dagestan," the head of the region Ramazan Abdullatipov stated.
"Thanks to the Constitution, Dagestanis have the opportunity to create, build and freely develop in the united Russian family, and have all the necessary conditions for harmonious development," Abdullatipov noted.
