Dagestan is ready to receive up to 2 million tourists.
However, it should be noted that last year the region was visited by 513 thousand people, head of the tourism development department of republic's Tourism Ministry Muslimat Khalimbekova said.
Right now there are 29 regional tourist routes in the republic, the most popular of which is Derbent.
