‘‘The Medal of Amet-Khan Sultan is to be established in Dagestan,’’ Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Ramadan Jafarov said today at a grand meeting in Makhachkala, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the famous test pilot.
‘‘According to the Decree of the Head of Dagestan, Ramazan Abdulatipov, the Sultan Amet-Khan Sultan Medal is to be awarded for contributions to the patriotic education of youth. It is established in honor of the 95th anniversary of the distinguished test pilot of the USSR, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Amet-Khan Sultan. The government of the Republic was instructed to submit a draft law on the establishment of the state award to the National Assembly,’’ RIA Dagestan cites the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic.
