The Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant (KEMZ) in Dagestan, which manufactures defence products, will conduct ground tests of the AP-55 multi-purpose helicopter developed at the enterprise.
According to the director-general, Ibragim Akhmatov, work is underway on the vehicle’s main components.
"We are now engaged in the manufacture of the gearbox, blades and coaxial carrier system - these are the main components of the helicopter," he said, noting that the tests are planned for this year.
