Today the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdullatipov announced an annual address to the parliament and instructed deputies and the Government of the Republic to work out a program of development of the hydropower potential of Dagestan.
"Commissioning of the Gotsatlinskaya hydro-electric power station will partially reduce the growing demand for electricity, but we should not refuse from the idea of building the Cascade of hydropower plants on the rivers of Sulak, Samur, Avar and Andean Koysu," Interfax-South cites the head of the republic as saying.
