The Syrian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned on Thursday the deployment of 150 US troops to the city of Rmeilan in the northeast of the country, Tass reports.
"This intervention is rejected and illegitimate, it happened without the Syrian government’s approval," the SANA news agency quotes the ministry’s statement as saying.
The statement describes this step as "a blatant act of aggression that constitutes a dangerous intervention and a gross violation of Syria’s sovereignty."
