 Damascus welcomes joint declaration of Putin, Erdogan and Rouhani on Syria

Syria's government has welcomed the joint declaration of the tripartite summit between the presidents of Russia, Iran and Turkey held on Wednesday in Russia's Sochi, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said.

According to the source, Damascus welcomes the joint declaration of the summit starting from the keenness of Syrian Arab Republic on supporting every political work that respects Syria's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and that contributes to stopping the shedding of the Syrian blood.

The source added that the summit held in Sochi come in completion of the Russian-Syrian summit held on Monday and which resulted in agreement on pressing ahead with fighting terrorism, on main principles for organizing the political process to solve the crisis in Syria, on holding the Syrian National Dialogue Congress, on forming a committee to discuss the articles of the present constitution and on holding parliamentary elections later, SANA reported.
