The Azerbaijani Gymnastic Federation tremendously organized European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships, a Belarusian gymnast Daria Kharaneka told Vestnik Kavkaza after her performance in the women individual exercises in FIG European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships in Baku.
“The competition is organized unusually, even tremendously. The arena is beautiful and very big. Lights are unusual. I have never seen this before,” the gymnast said.
“I like the way the local audience supports us. The support of Azerbaijani fans helped me, I could feel it. I was happy to perform,” Daria Kharaneka stressed.
“I like everything here. Baku is a very beautiful city. It has the sea, the Old Town, modern buildings. It’s impressive, the athlete concluded.
The National Gymnastics Arena in Baku welcomes FIG European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships for the first time. Athletes from 22 countries participate in the tournament. Juniors and seniors perform in individual exercises among men and women, mixed pairs, trio and groups, aerodance, as well as aerostep – only for seniors. There will also be winners in junior and senior team ratings. Athletes will compete for 15 sets of medals.
