Egypt's parliamentary elections will be held in two stages, the first of which will take place on October 18-19, the Supreme Electoral Commission reports.
The Commission was established in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, on August 13, for the preparation and holding of elections of the legislative body of the country, without which it stays since 2012. During all this time its functions have been performed by the head of state and government of Egypt.
