Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu started a two-day state visit to Iran today. He will hold talks with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
"During the meeting, officials of the two largest players in the Middle East will discuss regional issues, mainly development of the situation in Syria and the next round of Syria peace talks on March 9 in Geneva," Tasnim reports.
Ankara and Tehran are the largest trading partners. Turkey is one of the leading importers of Iranian natural gas. Iran provides approximately 18% of Turkey's natural gas, TASS reports.
